Studio Hours

Studio Hours are a one-off space to imagine, iterate and develop ideas, and receive generative support.

If you are an artist, writer, or cultural worker of any kind seeking a sounding board, advice, strategy, or feedback - this is for you.

This may look like:

  • POETRY OR SHORT PROSE WORKSHOPPING. We’ll workshop your piece(s) together and I’ll offer verbal feedback and edits, and foster a constructive discussion to take your piece to the next level. I’ll send a written recap afterward.

  • RESOURCE CONNECTING. A benefit of existing across various ecosystems is that I consistently read/research/connect widely with people, materials, and opportunities. Unsure where to pitch/submit your creative work, or who to reach out to? Looking to read (or watch) more deeply in a particular direction, and curious where to start? We’ll talk through your idea or project, and I’ll suggest resources/institutions/people to engage with.

  • CREATIVE MENTORSHIP. Guidance and strategic feedback to support your creative project’s development, or reconnect with/strengthen your overall practice. I’ll listen, give insight, and help you map out clarity and next steps.

These are all tools I informally provide (and really enjoy providing) frequently, and it’s been reflected back to me that there’s value here. Over 10 (!) years as a creative practitioner - virtually always as a freelancer - I’ve had my hands in the dirt of many gardens: filmmaking, poetry, environmental and arts writing, nonprofit/grassroots/movement work. I don’t have the answers, but I can reframe the questions and offer support.

Let’s talk.
